On March 13 and 14, Granger Elementary School welcomed Dr. Jacque Mumford, a professor from Walsh University, who conducted grade level sessions featuring Ozobot technology. During her visit, students learned the basics of coding and had the opportunity to work hands-on with the Ozobots. Ozobots are programmed to follow black, red, green and blue paths that control its movement and speed in different directions. Ozobots can function atop of tablets as well as traditional physical surfaces such as paper. The goal of the Ozobot is to introduce students to simple coding and, at the same time, teach skills such as deductive reasoning while expanding their imaginations. Granger students were amazed by the possibilities and capabilities of such a tiny piece of technology, which is small enough to fit in the palm of their hands! This program was made possible through the generosity of The Highland Foundation.
