New Trustees Appointed to Board

The Highland Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Trustees to its Board. 

“We are once again excited to bring new leadership perspectives to our team,” stated Foundation Executive Director Theresa Wright. “Each of these individuals bring with them a unique set of experiences and we look forward to working together to further our mission.” 

Bruce CarterBRUCE CARTER is a Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors in Akron. Both he and his wife, Amy, have been supporters of the Highland Schools and The Foundation and were active on the bond issue campaign to build new elementary schools. Residents of Sharon Township, they are the proud parents of three daughters, Mya, 8th grade and Marley, 6th grade, both at Highland Middle School; and Camarie, 3rd grade at Sharon Elementary.

 

David CentnerDAVID CENTNER has over 33 years in law enforcement. He earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from Tiffin University and is currently the Chief of Police in Hinckley Township. Over the years, he has been an active volunteer in Highland Youth Sports, Boy Scouts, Medina Youth Sports, American Cancer Society and FOP/Shop with a Cop.  He remains a current board member for the Medina County Care Givers/Faith In Action and the Medina County Drug Abuse Commission. His wife, Sharon, is the DARE Officer at Highland Schools. They reside in Sharon Township.

Dale ChorbaDALE CHORBA, a 1981 Highland graduate, has been a resident of Medina County for nearly 45 years. Dale joined Action Management Services in 1989 and assumed ownership in 2009. The
company has been recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the Top 250 executive search firms in the country. He is a graduate of Heidelberg College with a degree in Business Administration and serves as a member of their Board of Trustees. He has been a long-time supporter of the Highland Schools and The Highland Foundation. Dale and his wife, Laura, reside in Hinckley Township with their children. Their daughter, Noelle, is a 2011 Highland graduate and twin boys, Devan and Dylan are currently freshmen at HHS.
