Your Support Makes it All Possible!
With the holidays quickly approaching and 2019 drawing to a close, The Highland Foundation continues to look toward its future programs with excitement. Here are just a few planned for 2020:
In January, our Highland elementary school students will once again take part in One District, One Book – where every K-5 student receives a new book along with enrichment activities designed to bring it to life. What will this year’s ODOB be? Students will find out after winter break!
At Highland Middle School, plans are underway to expand the robotics program – an overwhelmingly popular extracurricular that is now being phased into the classroom. Your support of The Foundation is also allowing the school to expand the sensory room/Learning Center – a critical tool in helping students with learning challenges overcome sensory issues.
You’re also helping to bring an appreciation of the arts to students throughout our schools! Coming up this Spring is Kids Love Musicals! – an interactive week-long musical workshop at Granger Elementary where every class in every grade will learn what it takes to bring a musical to life.
At Highland High School, College Now is once again helping parents and students prepare for college life – including navigating the world of financial aid (FAFSA). Don’t think you’ll qualify for financial aid – or feel overwhelmed with the paperwork? EVERYONE can benefit from these FREE services, made possible by a continuing Highland Foundation grant. Learn more or sign up for a time to work directly with the College Now advisor.
This is just a sampling of the programs and events made possible through your support of The Highland Foundation. Stay up-to-date on more by following us on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn. And, as always, THANK YOU for your continued support!
