Students Experience Mastery of Allen Vizzutti

MEDINA, OH (May 15, 2013) -- Allen Vizzutti shared his experience as a professional musician and educator to the delight of the students and staff of the Highland High School Band Department on May 13-14. The visit was made possible through a grant through the Highland Foundation and the Yamaha Corporation. Mr. Vizzutti demonstrated his finely-tuned skills as he taught trumpet clinics, performed for students and with the 8th grade concert band, as well as with the high school wind ensemble. He also performed with them during a public concert on May 14 in the Highland High School Auditorium. A world renowned composer, Mr. Vizzutti has performed in 40 countries and every state with artists including Chick Corea, ‘Doc’ Severinsen and Chuck Mangione. He has also performed on over 100 motion picture sound tracks, (such as “Back To The Future” and “Star Trek”), as well as TV shows, commercials and recordings with such artists as Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond, the Commodores and Prince. the Commodores and Prince.
