Granger Elementary School students Parker Stracensky (4th grade) and Mason Stracensky (3rd grade) recently had the opportunity to experience what it's like to be a "VIP" for a day. Their special day included reading announcements to the student body, a homework-free night, eating lunch in the office with friends, and designating a "pajama day" for the entire school! They also permitted their classes to enjoy an extra recess! The "Granger VIP" experience was one of the many items auctioned off during the 17th Annual Highland Foundation Dinner held on November 6. Each elementary school participates in the auction and offers a VIP experience which allows the student an up-close look at what it's like to be a VIP for a day. Parker and Mason are the sons of Keith and Jennifer Stracensky of Granger Township. All proceeds raised from the auction are used to acquire and enhance supplemental learning opportunities for Highland students, staff and community.
